Zelensky’s party threatened Georgia with problems.
Tbilisi carries out “political aggression” against Kyiv, this threatens Georgia with problems, warned the head of the Ukrainian presidential party “Servant of the People” faction David Arakhamia. The scandal began after the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky proposed the post of Deputy Prime Minister to the ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili.
The head of the Ukrainian parliamentary faction, “Servant of the People”, David Arakhamia, criticized Tbilisi’s promise to withdraw its ambassador in Kyiv for consultations if the ex-president of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili is appointed deputy chairman of the government of Ukraine.
The Verkhovna Rada deputy said that no external forces have the right to give Kyiv instructions for conducting personnel policies, and warned that Georgia will have problems if the ambassador is recalled.
“This is not the United States that says “you will have diplomatic problems.” This is Georgia. We must not forget about this,” the Ukrainian parliamentarian explained, calling Tbilisi’s rhetoric “political aggression”.
The day before, Saakashvili met with the “Servant of the People” faction and answered questions from deputies and journalists. From the words of the politician, it became clear that, as deputy prime minister, he intends to engage in economics and negotiations with the International Monetary Fund.
“The President instructed me to engage in negotiations with the IMF, with international financial organizations. Ukraine needs much more help than it receives,” Saakashvili said.
