In Georgia, the number of cases of coronavirus in 24 hours increased by 15 and reached a total of 385. Information is available on the special website stopcov.ge created by the government.
5053 people are in quarantine and 519 people are in hospitals under medical supervision. 84 out of 385 infected have already recovered, three have died. Also, three Georgian citizens were transferred for treatment from abroad.
The day before, on April 17, the President of Georgia signed a decree on the extension of the state of emergency until May 10.
A curfew, from 21:00 to 06:00, and strict quarantine is present in municipalities and villages of the country.
Earlier, the government banned entry and exit from Tbilisi, Rustavi, Batumi and Kutaisi for 10 days.
To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the movement of cars is completely prohibited in Georgia until April 21, 2020. The ban does not apply to cargo transport and distribution vehicles.
Also, the wearing of medical masks in closed public places becomes mandatory.
The government officially announced the temporary closure of cemeteries.
