Today, the Catholic, Armenian and Evangelical Lutheran churches celebrate Easter.
On April 12 Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia congratulated Georgian citizens with easter, the most anticipated holiday in the Christian world.
“I would like to congratulate all the citizens of our country who celebrate Easter today – Georgian Catholics, the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and our Armenian compatriots, the Georgian Evangelical Lutheran Church and its parishioners. I wish you good health and good spirits. I am convinced that we will overcome this test by collective efforts,” the prime minister said in a statement.
